Norwegian Elkhound Dogs are Friendly, Confident, and Dependable dogs they are from the Hound group. According to the AKC Breed Popularity, they rank # 94. These breeds have lots of stamina thus built to work all day and are very athletic in herding competitions because of their intelligence are good watchdogs. They were also used to hunt wolves and bears when bears were common in the old days in Norway but now they hunt Elk which is known in America as Moose. Their coats need brushing to keep them fit and healthy. They are very loving and loyal to their human family. Norwegian Elkhound Dogs are Purebred, nonallergic and according to Google searches their Intelligence level is (ranked 36).
