Schipperke Dogs are Confident, Alert, and Curious dogs they are from the Non-Sporting group. According to the AKC Breed Popularity, they rank # 112. In Belgium, this dog was used to guard canal boats and hence got the name “captain”. This dog is reserved with strangers but is ready to protect its human family also is very fast and is a great companion.
