Basenji Dogs are Independent, Smart, and Poised dogs they are from the Hound group. According to the AKC Breed Popularity, they rank # 88. These Dogs are “Africa’s Hunting Dog”. This dog doesn’t bark, but makes other odd sounds and grooms themselves as cats do also they hunt by sight and scent. If you want to own this dog you should first understand it, they make great companions.
